Questioning Placement Of Sign and Child Safety Equipment
At the July 21st Board Of Selectmen meeting, Janet Frechette wanted to better understand why the “Kids Don’t Float” and life jackets were placed on the shed at the Cedar Lake Recreation area and not on the Life Guard station as originally agreed to. Janet Frechette feels it is very difficult for parents to see that life jackets are available which defeats the purpose as to why they are there. Also, a memorial plaque for her grandson, Christian Frechette is supposed to go with the sign for the life jackets and Mrs. Frechette does not want the plaque to go on a shed. After much discussion on these topics, Steve Halterman said he would look into why the sign is not at the lifeguard station and will call her back with the information.
