We quietly launched www.newsotronic.com in October and November of this year. This has been the culmination of a 9+ month effort of nights and weekends to create a set of services dedicated to providing the most complete local news resource on the web. Our focus will be on news and only news. Some may refer to the content as “local news”, “community news” or even “hyper local news”. Basically, anyone can become an author and post news articles. The site is self governing and you are in control of getting rid of content that may be deemed as inappropriate or irrelevant.

www.newsotronic.com is designed to allow both sides of a story to be given. If readers feel facts are incorrect or an opinion is not in agreement with their own, then the commenting features will allow the other side of the story to be told. Some may even be motivated to become authors and post their own rebuttal articles.

What is the best feature of the site? You are the media! The site really can’t be accused of having a “media bias” because again, you are the media.

At this point, www.newsotronic.com is completely self funded and will eventually become profitable through the sale of advertising to local businesses. As the site gains traction, we expect to become a highly desirable outlet for local businesses to purchase advertising.
